Abstract:

Metabolic reactions can last for months or years in children with severe burns, which were associated with skeletal muscle atrophy, increased fracture incidence and malnutrition. Therefore, nutritional support is particularly important for functional performance and overall rehabilitation. This article reviewed the nutritional metabolism of energy, protein, carbohydrate, fat, vitamins and minerals in burned children during rehabilitation, to determine the strategy to screen malnutrition and design effective interventions to improve nutritional status.
