Abstract: I am very pleased to have edited these nine (9) articles for publication authored by Chinese Americans professors from the United Sates and with the contribution of some of their former and current doctoral students in rehabilitation psychology and rehabilitation counseling studies. The aim of this special issue to be published in China is to provide the readers of the Chinese Journal of Rehabilitation Theory and Practice worldwide with some pertinent and updated issues in the field of rehabilitation and disability research in the United States. This issue may serve the purpose of the beginning of information and academic exchange between the United Stated and China academic professionals, students and other readers with respect to the fields of rehabilitation and disability research.
