Executive Function and Motor Functional Recovery in Stroke Patients: Influence and Underlying Mechanism (review)

Abstract: Executive function is a superordinate cognitive function of the brain. Executive dysfunction post stroke plays a very important role in recovery of motor function, which is associated with motor learning, postural control, etc. Executive function training may promote the recovery of motor function. The potential neurological mechanism includes the cerebral network involving a variety of areas.
