Abstract: Gut microbiota, as a "microbial organ" in human body, has important physiological functions and participates in regulating body's homeostasis and health. Exercise can improve metabolism and immune regulation of body by promoting the composition and structure of gut microbiota, and even affects interaction of the "microbiota-gut-brain axis". This article reviewed the effects of various functions of gut microbiota on body and relationship between gut microbiota and exercise.
