Effect of Baclofen on Spasticity in Spinal Cord Injury:136 Cases Report

Abstract: Objective To study the antispasticity effect of Baclofen on spasticity in spinal cord injured patients.Methods 136 cases were treated with Baclofen administration for at least 2 months.They were assessed with revised Ashworth Scale.Results The spasticity was reduced 1 grade in average in 131 cases.Conclusion Baclofen shows a good antispasticity effect on spasticity in spinal cord injury with different age,sex,duration of postinjury,level or completeness of injury.No hepatic or renal side-effects have been found.
