Effect of acupuncture combined with function training on patients with acute stroke

Abstract: ObjectiveTo study the effect of acupuncture combined with function training on patients with acute stroke.Methods87 patients with acute stroke were divided into 2 growps randomly:the rehabilitation group(44 cases),in which the patients accepted acupuncture and rehabilitation training,and the control group,in which the patients accepted the normal medical therapy only.All the patients were evaluated with Clinical Nervous Functional Deficiency(CNFD),Fugl-Meyer Assessment(FMA)and Modified Barthel Index(MBI).ResultsThe scales of CNFD,FMA and MBI of the patients in the rehabilitation group was increased significantly than that of the control group.ConclusionAcupuncture compared with the rehabilitation training is effective on the recovery of patients with stroke.
