Abstract: Objective To study the characteristics of social support and coping style of graduate students and relationship between them.Methods 207 graduate students in a normal university were randomly selected to perform Coping Style Questionnaire and Social Support Rating Scale (SSRS).Results The graduate students who were female, married, ever-worked and elder had better social support and mature coping styles. Objective social support and total social support were positively correlation with seeking support, and negatively correlation with self-accusation. The usage of social support was negatively correlation with retreat.Conclusion Social support of graduate students is correlated with coping style.
