Effect of Psychological Intervention on Quality of Life of Parents of Children with Cerebral Palsy

Abstract: Objective To study the effects of psychological intervention on quality of life of parents of children with cerebral palsy.Methods 30 parents of cerebral palsy children aged 1~7 years accepted psychological intervention for 3 months. They were investigated with the WHO Quality of Life BREF (WHOQOL-BREF) before and after intervention. Results The total score and scores of domains of psychological health, social relationships, and environment significantly improved after intervention (P<0.01). Conclusion The psychological intervention can improve the quality of life of parents of children with cerebral palsy.
