Abstract: With the use of light at different length and intensities, light therapy can regulate the circadian rhythm of the patients with Alzheimer's disease (AD). This paper reviewed the existing domestic and foreign researches, discovered that light therapy improved the sleep quality, cognitive function, and negative emotions, etc., of AD patients, and attracted more and more people's attention. However, some other studies found that light therapy did not significantly improve the sleep quality and cognitive function of AD patients. The specific mechanism is still unclear, and further studies are needed in the future.
