Abstract: Transcranial direct current stimulation regulates nerve cell transmembrane potential through current, leading to depolarization or hyperpolarization, and changes the excitability of cerebral cortex, thus improving neuropathic pain after spinal cord injury. This article mainly reviewed mechanism, clinical application, safety and limitation of transcranial direct current stimulation to neuropathic pain after spinal cord injury.

Key words: transcranial direct current stimulation, spinal cord injury, neuropathic pain, rehabilitation, review
