Abstract: ObjectiveTo study the effects of early intervention on physical psychomotor development of premature infants.Methods120 survival premature infants were divided into two groups randomly. The infants in intervention group accepted early intervention according to the Early Intervention Program of 0-2 Years Infants, while that in the control did not. The physical and neurological condition and intelligence were tested periodically till 2 years old.ResultsThere were no significant differences between the two groups on physical development. The mental development index(MDI) and psychomotive development index(PDI) in intervention group showed higher than those in control group (P<0.05 and P<0.01 respectively). The abnormal rate of MDI and PDI,the incidence of cerebral palsy in intervention group was lower obviously than that in control group (P<0.01).ConclusionsThe application of early intervention could improve the prognosis of premature infants.
