Abstract: ObjectiveTo investigate the correlation between the ration of affected lower limb on weight bearing and the duration of walking in stroke patients.Methods58 stroke patients were divided into three groups,Group 1(20 patients) walking independently out of hospital, Group 2 (19 patients) walking independently in hospital and Group 3 (19 patients) walking independently in the room for training. The ration of affected lower limb weight bearing was measured on undisturbed and maximum situations, as well as the time for 10 meter walking. ResultsThere was statistical significant difference on the ration of affected lower limb weight bearing on undisturbed situations, maximum situation and the time for 10 meter walking among these 3 groups. There were correlation between the ration of affected lower limb weight bearing on undisturbed situations and the time for 10 meter walking (r=-0. 604,P<0.01), the ration of affected lower limb weight bearing on maximum situations and the time for 10 meter walking (r=-0.723,P<0. 01), so as the ration of affected lower limb weight bearing on undisturbed and maximum situations (r=0.725,P<0.01).ConclusionThere was correlation between improving the ration of affected lower limb weight bearing and shortening the walking time in the stroke patients.
