Abstract: Objective To explore the effect of phone call following-up on patient education in home rehabilitation of orthopaedic patients.Methods The special instruction about family rehabilitation was offered by the nurses with phone call following-up for orthopaedic patients according to individual plan at different periods.Results By the phone call following-up, the realization to the family rehabilitation, brace using and compliance of patients improved.Conclusion The phone call following-up has urging, consulting and directing effects on patient education in family rehabilitation of orthopedic patients, and can make a better relationship between the patients and medical staff.
