Abstract: The cognitive impairment is a defining feature of Alzheimer's disease (AD). Cognitive interventions of AD has become more critical and the spaced retrieval techniques are widely used for the cognitive rehabilitation. There are some evidences that spaced retrieval method can facilitate cognitive rehabilitation of AD. However, its effect on cognitive rehabilitation is less well understood. The preliminary evidence suggests that the spaced retrieval techniques has benefits on cognition for patients with AD, although it is difficult to draw conclusions about the efficacy of spaced retrieval training for AD. There are also some encouraging findings indicating that the spaced retrieval can be successfully applied to clinical rehabilitation of AD.
