Effect of Integrated Chinese-Western Therapy on Recovery of Stroke

Abstract: Objective To observe the effect of Integrated Chinese-Western Therapy on recovery of stroke.Methods 58 patients were divided into two groups:the treating group including 36 cases who accepted Integrated Chinese-Western therapy and the control group including 22 cases who accepted physiotherapy only.They were assessed with Fugl-Meyer assessment (FMA) when they were hospitalized and discharged.ResultsThe score of FMA in the treating group was higher than that in the control when they were discharged (P<0.01).ConclusionThe Integrated Chinese-Western therapy can promote the recovery of stroke.
