Effect of Early Electro-acupuncture on Locomotion of Hemiplegia Patients after Stroke

Abstract: Objective To explore the effect of early rehabilitation with electro-acupuncture on locomotion in hemiplegia patients after stroke in early stage.Methods 98 patients were randomly divided into treatment and control group.Both groups were given early rehabilitation.Patients in treatment group were given electro-acupuncture in addition.Results The scores of Fugl-Meyer Assessment increased significantly in both groups after treatment,and were improved in treatment group compared that of control group.Conclusion Electro-acupuncture can facilitate the improvement of locomotion in hemiplegia patients after stroke.
