Abstract: The recent literatures showed that the acupuncture therapy had played a special role in treating ischemic stroke, including the changes of fibrinolysis, amino acid neurotransmitters, active peptides, proteins in the blood, calmodulin, nitric oxide and the synthase, and so on. But the standard of judgments, the manipulations of acupuncture, the selection of acupoints, and the course of treatment remain uncertain.
