Activities of Daily Living Guidance (Intervention) of Stroke Patients

Abstract: We need to make the consideration for the relation between activities of daily living (ADL) and International Classification of Functioning, Disabilities and Health (ICF). ADL is a part of task-oriented approach. The patients make selective movements voluntarily in anti-gravity posture, change the efficient system treating the information of sensory, and select the efficient postural control and movement control with therapist. 2 cases were reviewed. Case 1 becomes independent expect bathing, has to learn self control. Case 2 does not become independent, the goal is reduction of support. The family and the staff can support that case 2 experiences the good sensory-motor learning. Team approach and 24-hour management are important.
