Survey of Family Members of Stroke Patients on Negative Emotions and Psychological Treatment

Abstract: Objective To investigate the awareness of the negative emotions on the physical rehabilitation and psychological treatment of family members of stroke patients in Gansu. Methods 1100 stroke patients from 10 hospitals of different levels in Gansu were surveyed. Results Family members who thought negative emotions can affect the recovery of limb function accounted for 77.17%, and who thought psychological treatment was needed accounted for 83.46%. Conclusion Family members of stroke patients think that negative emotions affect the recovery of limb function and psychological treatment is needed.
