Abstract: Objective To evaluate the reliability and validity of the Uyghur version of Montreal Cognitive Assessment (MoCA-U) for cognitive impairment in Parkinson's disease (PD). Methods 57 Uyghur people who were diagnosed with PD and aged 50~75 years were investigated with Montreal Cognitive Assessment (MoCA-U), Mini-Mental State Examination (MMSE) and Clinical Dementia Rating (CDR).Results Cronbach's α coefficient of MoCA-U was 0.798, and ICC of inter-rater was 0.977 (95%CI: 0.949~0.990). Correlated coefficient of Test-retest was 0.987 (P<0.001). The scores of MoCA-U were strongly correlated with those of MMSE and CDR. Conclusion MoCA-U is reliable and valid for screening cognitive function in elderly Uyghur people with PD.
