Abstract: Objective To investigate the application of Follow-up System in health management for the patients after percutaneous coronary intervention (PCI). Methods 100 patients underwent PCI were divided into study group (n=50) and control group (n=50). The control group received routine follow-up and the study group was followed up with the direction of Follow-up System. The incidence of adherence to medication after discharge and awareness of risks of coronary heart disease were recorded 6 and 12 months after discharge. Results The incidence of adherence to medication decreased in the control group (P<0.05) after discharge, but was stable in the study group (P>0.05). Awareness of risks of coronary heart disease increased in the study group 12 months after discharge (P<0.01), but was stable in the control group (P>0.05). Conclusion Follow-up System may help to improve the compliance and awareness in health management in the patients after PCI.
