Application of Brief ICF Core Sets for Chinese Stroke Patients in Rehabilitation Assessment

Abstract: Objective To explore the application of Brief ICF Core Sets for Chinese Stroke Patients in rehabilitation assessment for patients with stroke. Methods 180 patients with stroke accepted routine rehabilitation for 2 months, and were assessed with ICF core set, Barthel Index (BI), Functional Comprehensive Assessment (FCA) and WHO Disability Assessment Schedule (WHODAS II) before, 2 and 6 months after treatment. Results The score of BI, FCA and WHODAS II correlated with that of ICF core sets (P<0.05). Conclusion ICF core sets can be used as a tool to assess the function of patients with stroke.
